Tracking increasing clouds with scattered storms late this week

Tonight: Cloud cover builds back in from the south this afternoon leaving the majority of Mid-Missouri under mostly cloudy conditions. Afternoon highs top out into the lower 30s with winds out of the southeast at 5-10 mph. A few isolated pop-up storms are possible down towards the Lake of the Ozarks and Rolla region but look to dissipate into the early overnight hours.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool the lower 60s with mostly cloudy skies and winds out of the east at 5-10 mph.

Extended: Scattered showers and storms move into early Thursday morning and stay with Central Missouri all the way through this upcoming weekend. Friday afternoon/ early evening could see some stronger storms as the environment has adequate energy for storm growth. A cold front arrives late Sunday leading to a cooler start to next week and drier conditions.
