Tracking rain chances for overnight
TODAY: Mostly clear skies are in place this morning before sunrise. Sunny skies will dominate the forecast growing temperatures back into the low 80s. Winds are from the northeast again today, sustained near 5-10 mph.
TONIGHT: Storms developing in southern Nebraska and NE Kansas this afternoon will evolve into a complex of storms that will drive towards SW Missouri. These are decaying by the time they arrive, and will bring showers and weak storms late tonight, and tomorrow morning.
EXTENDED: Wednesday will start with light showers in the region, becoming possible thunderstorm chances by the afternoon. Expect a high similar to Tuesday, with temperatures climbing into the low 80s Wednesday afternoon. Chances for rain grow, becoming more scattered on Thursday, as a warm front lifts across the region. This begins as showers on Thursday morning, and transitions to a better storm chance by the afternoon. It'll be rinse, wash, and repeat through the weekend, with a similar pattern bringing daily highs in the 80s, and scattered thunderstorms. This all clears sometime this weekend, but the timing of the cold front is uncertain. Cooler air looks to return next week.
