Tracking isolated storms through a hot weekend

TODAY: Saturday morning sees a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms as a warm front lifts north through the area. This will push highs to the upper 80s as we stay mostly dry. These excessively warm temperatures will put a lid on the atmosphere, suppressing almost all storm activity, but there is still a conditional severe risk late this afternoon. Any storms that push through this cap of warm air could quickly become severe with all hazards possible.

TOMORROW: Chances for thunderstorms remain isolated through Sunday as the frontal boundary lingers to the north. This could set off more storms capable of producing hail, but this is an even lower chance than the previous day. Highs again reach the upper 80s.

EXTENDED: A busy weekend of storms means lots of uncertainty for next week's forecast, with another chance of severe storms Monday. This will depend on where the front ends up by that point, and this is also the greatest window for rainfall throughout the week. High pressure building midweek will likely dry up conditions somewhat, before another broad disturbance approaches around Thursday into the weekend.
