Tracking overnight freezes and rain chances spread through the week

TONIGHT: We'll see some chances for drizzle spread through the early evening, but those chances quickly decrease as we get later into the night. As our clouds clear out over night, the winds across mid-Missouri will calm down as well, meaning we are going to be seeing temperatures dropping into the low 30s. This is why we are currently under a freeze warning tonight, so make sure to take any plants that need saving inside in order to keep them growing.

TOMORROW: Tracking mostly sunny skies, with winds picking back up into the 10-15 mph range, with gusts at 20 from the NW. Temperatures will be climbing into the low to mid 50s, but quickly drop back off moving into tomorrow night. This is why the area will be in another freeze watch, as the lows tomorrow night are looking very similar to tonight.

EXTENDED: The rest of the week we won't need to worry about below freezing temperatures as we'll be staying consistently in the low to mid 40s for lows, and low to mid 60s for our highs. Along with this though are plenty of chances for rain scattered through the work week. Our first chance we are tracking is Tuesday, but the main thing with this system is that it is currently staying to the south. If it moves north we could see more rain. Wednesday has some scattered light shower chances spread throughout the day, but isn't looking as promising as of now. Thursday is tracking to be our next best chance for rain, but again it is tracking to the south of us, just like the system on Tuesday. Friday into Saturday we are tracking another low pressure system moving over the area, bringing higher chances for rain ahead of the cold front associated with this low pressure system.
