Tracking above-average heat under high pressure this week

TONIGHT: Lows cool to the upper 40s with a few clouds passing through.

TOMORROW: Another dry and warm day with temperatures climbing further into the 70s in the afternoon.

EXTENDED: Highs will approach the 80 mark midweek as persistent dry conditions continue. A sluggish low pressure system plugging up moisture to the south will finally move out late week, introducing a chance for rainfall. A cold front moves through Saturday with a chance for showers and storms leading to cooling temperatures into early next week.
