Tracking strong winds and cooler temperatures overnight

TONIGHT: Clearing and colder as storms exit. Strong winds could gust up to 45 mph at times. Lows in the upper 30s.

TOMORROW: Partly sunny and breezy with highs in the mid-50s. Gusts up to 30 mph possible early in the day.

EXTENDED: Storms exit Mid-Missouri early this evening, but temperatures decrease into the upper 30s along with strong winds hanging around through Saturday morning. We'll be considerably cooler on Saturday as highs only reach the 50s, but winds shift back south on Sunday getting us back to about 70. I'm already eyeing our next storm system that will lift a warm front through the area on Monday, triggering a few storms on Monday afternoon or evening. Some of those could bring the potential of small hail. On Tuesday, gusty winds bring temperatures into the upper 70s to around 80 degrees ahead of a strong cold front. The setup looks similar with the potential of severe storms by late afternoon into the overnight hours, especially if we can break through cloud cover early in the day. Once the cold front passes through, we'll be cooler with highs in the 50s on Wednesday and Thursday.
