Tracking a cooler Monday with a few showers possible Monday night

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and chilly with a few showers near I-44. Lows falling into the lower 30s.

TOMORROW: Partly sunny and cooler with highs in the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: A weak front to our north will help shove a fast moving disturbance through Mid-Missouri tomorrow night, bringing a chance for a few showers Monday night into Tuesday morning. High pressure replaces that for the middle of the week, bringing temperatures back into the upper 50s by Wednesday. Upper winds begin to shift to the southwest on Thursday ahead of a front that will stall out over the region Thursday afternoon, allowing temperatures to reach near 70 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are possible Thursday evening along this boundary. As the front slowly works across the area on Friday, showers and storms are likely. Temperatures reach the lower 70s, and some storms could be on the stronger side toward afternoon or evening. About a half inch of rain is expected through the end of the week, with higher totals across southern Missouri. Behind the front, it's cooler to start the weekend with highs in the lower 50s on Saturday. Sunday brings more sunshine with temperatures in the lower 60s.
