Tracking dropping temperatures this weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Sunshine is struggling against northerly winds today keeping highs near 40. Winds will be sustained between 15-20 mph with clouds returning late afternoon.

TONIGHT: Low clouds may bring enough moisture for light showers/drizzle and/or some light snow flurries overnight. These will not accumulate. Temperatures fall to near the teens with winds still from the north.

EXTENDED: Saturday stays cool, with highs near freezing thanks to continued north wind and stubborn clouds. High pressure arrives Sunday, bringing more sunshine, but keeping things cool one more day, with a high in the 30s. Monday is a welcome change, putting temperatures back in the 50s under mostly sunny skies for the first day of spring. Our warmup continues into midweek, with the 50s expected Tuesday, and 60s Wednesday and Thursday. Rain chances return Wednesday, and carry into Thursday as well.
