Tracking a deep cool down into the weekend

TODAY: We're starting with sunshine this morning after clouds and rain left overnight. In their wake, we have a cold breeze! We'll fall into the mid-20s through the early morning, but winds from the northwest will be sustained around 15-20 mph making us feel like low teens. These winds will have a cooling impact on us, keeping us near 40 for a high despite early day sunshine. More low clouds arrive late this afternoon, and this may have a cooling impact as well, depending on arrival time.

TONIGHT: These low clouds may bring enough moisture for light showers/drizzle and/or some light snow flurries. These will not accumulate. Temperatures fall even further with winds still from the north overnight.

EXTENDED: We'll start Saturday with temperatures in the teens and 20s, with wind chill values approaching single digits for some in the north. Saturday stays cool, with highs near freezing thanks to continued north wind and stubborn clouds. High pressure arrives Sunday, bringing more sunshine, but keeping things cool one more day, with a high in the 30s. Monday is a welcomed change, putting temperatures back in the 50s under mostly sunny skies for the first day of spring. Our warm up continues into mid week, with 50s expected Tuesday, and 60s Wednesday and Thursday. Rain chances return Wednesday, and carry into Thursday as well.
