Tracking spring-like air
TODAY: Wednesday will be the most pleasant of the week, that is if you enjoy sunshine and 60s. Winds will be breezy from the southwest, helping to warm us into the low 60s under partly cloudy skies.
TONIGHT: Winds remain from the south, at around 10 mph through the overnight. Cloud cover will build overnight ahead of early morning showers Thursday. Temperatures bottom out in the upper 40s.
EXTENDED: Thursday starts in the 40s, with clouds and scattered light showers. Rain chances will start as soon as 5 a.m., making for a wet drive to school or work. Some thunder will accompany showers in the morning. A second round will arrive along a cold front later in the afternoon and early evening. We expect a line of showers and storms to push through ahead of the front from west to east, but no severe weather is forecast at this time. After a quarter to a half inch of rain, temperatures will plummet for the weekend. We'll barely get to 40 on Friday and Sunday, with Saturday the coldest in the mid-30s. Warmer air works in to start next week.
