Tracking a soggy start to the weekend along with cold temperatures

TODAY: Light showers begin just after sunrise, spreading areawide and lasting through the evening. Temperatures still manage to steadily climb to the mid-40s. Flurries could mix in across far northern Missouri but no accumulations are expected for our area and rainfall should amount to less than a half inch.

TOMORROW: A few sprinkles could linger into early Sunday morning but skies will gradually filter out through the day. Highs will still be fighting northerly winds to struggle up to the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures remain below average into Monday and Tuesday of this upcoming week with highs in the 40s. Central MO climbs near 60 degrees by Wednesday ahead of showers on Thursday. There's a good deal of uncertainty with this system but it looks to establish seasonably cool temperatures yet again by next weekend.
