Tracking a cool and breezy end to the week

TODAY: We're trading rain for a cold breeze Friday. Cloudy skies, and a 10-15 mph northwest breeze that may gust into the 20s will have us feeling cool. Temperatures are in the low 40s at best this afternoon, with winds making us feel like 30s this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Temperatures fall to near freezing overnight, as winds start to shift. Clouds may break up a bit late Friday, but more clouds are moving in by Saturday morning.

EXTENDED: Showers will follow this cloud cover. We may have some sunshine to start the day Saturday, as low clouds exit and high clouds arrive. This and a return of a south wind will raise temperatures into the mid-to-upper 40s ahead of rain that returns in the afternoon. This will have a cooling effect and end our warmup on arrival. Light showers will linger from noon into the overnight. About a quarter of an inch at most is expected, with many expected to record much less. Dry air returns Sunday, along with a chance at more sunshine. That chance grows Monday and Tuesday with high pressure moving in. Temperatures are cool all the way through Tuesday, with 40s dominating the forecast. On the horizon, a low pressure system looms across the Midwest next week. This has a lot of uncertainty surrounding it, but it looks likely that we'll be warming up as it approaches. This currently has low chances for rain in our forecast Wednesday and Thursday, given the uncertainty surrounding this system, but rain is looking likely at some point through the middle of next week.
