Tracking a warm start to the week, below-average temperatures to follow

TODAY: Patchy fog in the early morning clears out quickly as southerly winds pick up. These gusts could reach up to 30-35 mph this afternoon but fuel a dramatic warmup aided by more sunshine. Highs reach the mid to upper 60s.

TOMORROW: One last day above-average as we climb near 70 degrees early Monday afternoon. However, a cold front set to arrive late in the day will trigger a cooldown lasting the rest of the workweek. Conditions remain dry as this front sweeps through.

EXTENDED: Tuesday sees seasonable temperatures and the first rain chances for the week ahead in the afternoon and evening. Rain continues on and off through the rest of the workweek, with the best window between Thursday night and Friday. As temperatures continue to fall, this could introduce a chance for wintry precip late week, but chances remain low. Below-average temperatures are set to last even further than the 7-day forecast with winter holding for much of mid-March.
