Tracking rain overnight, soggy Friday morning commute
TONIGHT: Showers likely overnight into Friday morning. Gusty winds up to 30 mph. Lows in the mid-30s.
TOMORROW: Rain likely with wet snow showers mixed in for areas north of Highway 24. Snow amounts will end up less than an inch in this area, and likely won't accumulate on the roads with road temperatures above freezing.
EXTENDED: Low pressure is tracking across the region, bringing widespread showers overnight into Friday morning. As colder air tries to move in on the northern side of the storm, there could be some wet snow mixing in north of I-70. Given that temperatures will likely be in the upper 30s, not much of this will accumulate. If it does, we can expect a dusting to an inch on the grass mainly along and north of Highway 24 after 7:00 a.m. Precipitation exits to the northeast between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., leaving us with temperatures in the 40s and gusty winds up to 40 mph. A Wind Advisory is in effect for Gasconade and Montgomery counties until 6:00 p.m. Friday. The weekend starts off chilly with morning temperatures Saturday around 30, but we'll warm into the mid-50s during the day. Sunday is even warmer with more sunshine and highs in the lower 60s. Most areas reach into the upper 60s to around 70 on Monday before another storm system brings rain chances between Tuesday and Thursday, and temperatures gradually cool back down from the 50s to the 40s to end next week.
