Tracking warming conditions leading to Sunday night storms

TODAY: Sunshine breaks through clouds to kick off a warming trend near the 50s this afternoon. Winds will gradually shift out of the southwest but remain calm Saturday.

TOMORROW: Winds slowly increase and shift more southerly to fuel even warmer temperatures Sunday. Highs gradually reach the upper 50s by the late afternoon though on-and-off sprinkles will likely begin by the late half of tomorrow. More organized light rain is likely around sundown before a robust round of storms into Monday.

EXTENDED: A line of heavy storms will impact the area late Sunday/early Monday with a low hail/wind risk for western Missouri. Less than 1" hail and wind speeds up to 45 mph are expected from the worst storms, which should clear the area before the Monday commute. Winds will remain high most of Monday around 30-40 mph but this keeps above-average temperatures in place. Conditions clear briefly Tuesday and Wednesday before a more disturbed pattern emerges later in the week.
