Tracking a cold Friday before a weekend warmup

TODAY: Sunny skies will help out as much as possible today with highs reaching near 40. This is still seasonably cool, so stay bundled up!

TONIGHT: Continued clear skies allow temperatures to drop back to the lower 30s.

EXTENDED: Conditions recover quickly Saturday as southerly winds push highs to the mid-50s. Clouds will return by the afternoon, bringing a chance of a few sprinkles around 7-8 p.m. Sunday is even warmer with continued southwest flow and more sunshine, getting temps to near 60. Warmth continues with partly cloudy skies Monday and Tuesday, with rain chances just missing us to the south and east on Tuesday. Another push of moisture arrives on Wednesday, which brings a chance for rain to all of Mid-Missouri. Some thunder may accompany this, but little details are available at this point.
