Tracking climbing temperatures this weekend

KMIZ

TODAY: Sunny this afternoon but not much warmer. Highs in the upper 30s.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear overnight as high pressure sits overhead. This will allow temperatures to fall to the 20s. Fog development is a possibility early Saturday, which could freeze due to the cold temperatures.

EXTENDED: Saturday warms quickly, with highs in the low 50s as southerly winds ramp up. Highs continue climbing Sunday to the upper 50s as a few high clouds move in. No precipitation is expected with a fantastic end to the weekend for gameday plans. Monday is another warm day, with highs reaching the 50s under continued sunny skies. Early Tuesday, a warm front will lift across the region as low pressure approaches from the southwest. This has increased the likelihood of rain on Tuesday as confidence grows with this system. Rain will start to exit by late Tuesday into Wednesday, but another system quick on its heels tries to return by Thursday.
