Tracking a blustery and cold end to the week
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and chilly with lows in the upper 20s to around 30.
TOMORROW: Gradual clearing and breezy with highs in the upper 30s. Wind chills in the mid-upper 20s.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking another low pressure system that will slide by to our south tomorrow morning, bringing a chance for a few spotty showers or flurries near the Lake of the Ozarks, but most of us just wake up to cloud cover and cold temperatures. Winds will gust up to 15-20 mph during the day, keeping the wind chill in the upper 20s for most of Friday. As upper high pressure begins to build back over the region on Saturday, temperatures increase into the upper 40s as winds shift to the southwest. We can expect plenty of sunshine on Saturday, with a few more clouds moving in on Sunday. Sunday is warmer and breezy with highs in the mid-upper 50s. Next week starts off mild in the mid-50s, but another storm system will bring widespread rain on Tuesday, keeping us in the upper 40s to low 50s. We'll get about 0.25" to 0.5" rain out of that system. We'll top out near 60 degrees on Wednesday, but a cold front moving in late in the day will bring a chance for a few showers and gusty winds overnight into Thursday.
