Tracking a breezy, beautiful weekend

TODAY: Temperatures start off chilly but warm dramatically to the mid-50s thanks to gusty southerly winds. These will reach up to 30 mph today, and also work to dry out the atmosphere by the afternoon. This combination of dry air and high winds will lead to a low fire risk so it's best to avoid burning today.

TOMORROW: Winds relax and skies clear out Sunday which spells out even warmer temperatures near the 60 mark. Conditions remain mild into the evening for a much better chance of heading out to the firepit.

EXTENDED: Clouds and breezes return on Monday as we climb into the 60s by the afternoon. The first rain chances of the week arrive Tuesday morning along a cold front bringing light showers. Rain totals look fairly low with this first system and conditions briefly clear on Wednesday from building high pressure. Another shot at rain comes late week, with more uncertainty in how this next system will play out. Overall temperatures for the week remain above average, even on the lower end of the forecast, making for a very spring-like workweek ahead.
