Tracking scattered rain and snow showers on Saturday

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with spotty showers possible, lows falling into the mid-upper 30s.

TOMORROW: Cloudy and chilly with highs in the lower 40s. Scattered showers with a few snow showers developing by early evening north of I-70. A dusting of snow is possible along and north of Highway 24 into Sunday morning.

EXTENDED: A few showers are possible after midnight, but we should see liquid rain with any precipitation tonight as temperatures fall into the mid-upper 30s. Scattered showers will continue off and on tomorrow, but precipitation will start to fill in across the northern half of the state by late afternoon or early evening. I-70 will likely be the dividing line between all rain and a snow/drizzle mix. Snow showers mix with areas of drizzle through tomorrow night for areas north of Columbia, with a dusting to 1/2" of accumulation possible especially along and north of Highway 24. Limited impacts are expected as road temperatures have been well above freezing, but some slide streets may be a little slick on Sunday morning. A few flurries could linger through mid-morning Sunday, but cloud start to break up later in the day, getting temperatures to around 40. Next week is looking more mild as we climb into the low 50s by Monday and stay dry until the end of the week. Showers return on Thursday, but with temperatures in the upper 40s to around 50 I'm not expecting wintry weather at this time.
