Insider Blog: Rain and snow possible for parts of Mid-Missouri on Saturday

Low presssure is tracking to the south of Mid-Missouri this afternoon, bringing clouds and a chance for winter precipitation.

Scattered rain is transitioning to snow this early afternoon, with a possible heavier snow band setting up along the I-70 corridor.

Snow totals have dropped with newest forecast models, as counties north of I-70 could receive a dusting to an inch. With warm ground conditions, this will lead to slushy roadways at times and possible slick spots into early Sunday.

Impacts are expected to be minor with how warm road temperatures have been and are forecast to be into Saturday night and Sunday. Use caution if you must travel across northern portions of the state late Saturday or early Sunday morning.
