Tracking above average temperatures with chances of rain

Today: Afternoon highs warm into the lower 50s this afternoon aided by mostly sunny skies. Winds remain strong with sustained winds at 10-15 mph and gusts up to 35 mph. A wind advisory is set from 6 AM Wednesday until midnight tonight for Benton, Camden, and Pulaski counties for strong wind gust up to 45 mph.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the mid-40s with partly cloudy skies and winds remaining out of the southwest gusting up to 30 mph.

Extended: Thursday afternoon sees isolated chances of rain for the eastern parts of of Central Missouri thanks to an approaching front meeting moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Scattered shower chances remain for the eastern half of Central Missouri throughout Friday becoming more widespread for all of Mid-Missouri by Saturday. Temperatures remain near the 50 degree mark Friday into Saturday before warming into the upper 50s with partly cloudy skies Sunday. More widespread showers move back into the region next Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning as temperatures remain into the upper 50s.
