Tracking bitterly cold conditions today

TODAY: Cloudy to start, with more sunshine by the afternoon. Steady breezes keep the wind chill in the teens.

TOMORROW: Winds relax early Sunday though temperatures don't recover - expect another chilly day with highs in the 30s.

EXTENDED: Monday will see a chance for wintry precip, though accumulations look light. Temperatures will actually be the warmest for the week ahead, which could bring a chance for rain and light snow. Overall expect a slushy day to start the workweek. An arctic blast moves in behind this, dropping us in the low teens by Wednesday, and possibly into the single digits by Thursday and Friday. Thursday is our next chance of snow, mainly because of the strong arctic air across the area. Amounts and timing are still uncertain at this time.
