Tracking early morning showers and a cool Saturday

TODAY: Showers south of I-70 coming to an end by midmorning. Clouds linger today, keeping highs in the mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Chilly to start with lows around freezing. Sunshine returns to bring highs back to near 50.

EXTENDED: Monday stays sunny for the first half, with highs likely reaching the 50s again. Clouds return late in the day however ahead of rain and thunder into Tuesday. The setup for this system currently does not favor severe weather in our area but expect gusty winds and heavy downpours from storms on Tuesday. Rain pulls out by Wednesday and highs steadily fall the rest of the week as low pressure lingers to the north. By Friday and onward our afternoon highs are trending below average in the upper 30s.
