Tracking a series of temperature changes and associated rain chances

TODAY: Tuesday's increasing wind will largely drive the day's rapid warm up. Temperatures climb into the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies as winds gust from the south as high as 30-35 mph at times from late morning into the afternoon. This wind is surging ahead of a cold front that passes this afternoon and evening. Moisture levels remain low, so rain chances are slim, and remain confined to areas east of Highway 63.

TONIGHT: Behind the front, winds will be gusty from the northwest. Any rain that develops will dry up as the front passes. A chance for a flurry or two remains behind the front overnight, but this feature is trending drier, so we may not see any flakes fall. Even if we do, no accumulations are expected.

EXTENDED: Winds will still be breezy early Wednesday morning, starting us off with temperatures in the 20's that feel more like teens. Wednesday's highs remain in the 30s despite sunshine, before temperatures fall into the low 20s by early Thursday. Thursday afternoon brings back our south wind which should push us back over that 40 degree mark. By Friday, southerly flow brings temperatures near 60 in the afternoon, along with a chance for showers by the evening. Another cold front will clear this by Saturday, leaving us dry and cool to start the weekend, with Saturday's high falling in the 40s. Rain chances will start to build again towards the end of the weekend, into early next week.
