Tracking a warmer Friday and weekend rain chances

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with patchy river valley fog. Lows in the upper 30s to around 40.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the low to mid-60s.

EXTENDED: Scattered clouds could keep some areas in the lower 40s tonight, but where clouds are less numerous we could see some river valley fog in low lying areas before daybreak. Other than that, it will be a nice end to the week with temperatures in the low to mid-60s and sunny tomorrow afternoon. It's clear and cool on Friday night for any trunk-or-treats or high school football games as temperatures dip into the 50s after sunset. We're continuing to track low pressure that will move across Oklahoma and Arkansas Friday night into Saturday, and eventually take a northeasterly turn in our direction. That will spread more clouds over the area on Saturday, keeping temperatures in the low to mid-60s. Showers are possible Saturday night into Sunday, especially along and south of I-70. Rain amounts through Sunday evening will be around 1/4". Clouds stick around all day Sunday, bringing temperatures down into the upper 50s for highs. We'll clear clouds out gradually early Monday, and southwesterly upper winds will get temperatures back into the mid-upper 60s. By trick-or-treat time we'll fall to about 60 on Monday night. The rest of the week is looking dry and warm with highs reaching the lower 70s through late week.
