Tracking increasing temperatures with possible weekend spotty showers/ storms

Today: Temperatures look to rise well above average as highs climb into the upper 80s. Skies remain partly cloudy with the chance for an isolated short-lived afternoon storm or two. Overall, most areas will remain dry with winds at 5-10 mph out of the southwest.
Tonight: Temperatures cool into the mid-60s as skies remain partly cloudy with winds persisting out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.
Extended: Afternoon highs increase into the early 90s putting Mid-Missouri over 10 degrees warmer than average. There is a possibility of scattered morning showers Saturday that look to remain north of highway 70. A few afternoon storms look to reappear well north of highway 70, but overall the majority of Central Missouri looks to remain dry. Saturday night into Sunday scattered showers and storms form along an incoming boundary that exit by the afternoon hours. Most areas see little to no rainfall this weekend with totals up to 0.25" possible. Highs continue to increase into next week into the mid-90s with drier conditions.
