Tracking a warm end to summer
TODAY: Starting clear and cool again on Wednesday morning, the day starts slightly warmer than Tuesday. Expect sunshine and a south to southeast breeze to yield temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s, slightly warmer than Tuesday.
TONIGHT: Overnight, skies will continue to be clear, with light southeast winds. Temperatures drop into the low 60s.
EXTENDED: On Thursday, our low level atmosphere temperatures relax a bit with some influence from cooler air to our east, keeping temperatures from warming much with more sunshine on Thursday. Expect another day in the upper 80s. A slight warm-up commences on Friday with temperatures in the upper 80 to low 90 degree range. Temperatures are even warmer on Saturday, as low level winds to the west increase temperatures. The same activity will generate some slight chance for light showers. The best chance for rain will stay to our north and west, but a few showers can't be ruled out on Saturday. The upper level wave that brings this rain chance never really makes it far enough to bring us much of a rain chance or a cool down, so expect our warm trend to continue. We'll be dry and warm through the start of next week, with temperatures approaching record territory, but with low humidity, hopefully this can be an enjoyable return to summer weather for most through the last days of the season.
