Tracking showers after sunset today

TODAY: Mostly sunny with clouds building by late afternoon. Highs near 90. Spot showers possible near I-44.

TONIGHT: Showers arrive from the NW before midnight and spread to the rest of the area early Sunday.

EXTENDED: We'll likely wake up to light showers on Sunday morning, especially for areas along and east of Highway 63. Rain looks to exit before the lunch hour, leaving us with breezy north winds and pleasant temperatures as highs fall back into the lower 70s! Some stubborn clouds may stick around depending on how far east the low pressure system gets Sunday night into Monday, but we can count on a cool Monday morning with low temperatures in the lower to mid-50s. Next week looks dry as upper high pressure builds back over the region, but that also means we're in for more heat with temperatures getting back above average again into the upper 80s by Wednesday.
