Tracking sunshine and above average temperatures the rest of the week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild with lows in the low to mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Patchy fog, becoming mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid-80s.

EXTENDED: After a foggy start to the morning, clouds will clear into tonight, allowing temperatures to rise into the lower 80s. Overnight, we can expect clearer skies as high pressure begins to take hold. Upper high pressure just to our west will keep us dry and warm the rest of the week, with high temperatures a few degrees above average in the upper 80s. We'll have a warm start to the weekend with highs in the mid-upper 80s on Saturday. Low pressure pushing up through the southeast U.S. could bring more clouds and a few showers along I-44 on Saturday. We'll be tracking a cold front associated with a strong low pressure system to our northwest that could bring rain and a few thunderstorms late Saturday night into Sunday. That could bring a trace to about a quarter inch of rain through Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will dramatically drop, with high temperatures only reaching the upper 70s to around 80 on Sunday. We'll start off next week with morning temperatures in the mid-50s on Monday, and cooler than average temperatures for the first few days of the week.
