Tracking a hot and humid weekend, feels like triple digits

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and muggy, lows in the mid-70s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and hot with highs in the mid-upper 90s. Heat index between 103-105. Spot storm possible by late afternoon.

EXTENDED: We remain mostly clear tonight as temperatures hold in the mid-70s. Tomorrow is the hotter day of the weekend with highs getting into the mid-upper 90s with a heat index anywhere between 103-105. A few isolated showers or storms could cool some locations down briefly by late afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect for the entire area between noon and 8:00 p.m. Sunday could be a bit cooler with more cloud cover ahead of a front, but temperatures reach the mid-90s with a heat index between 101-103. A cold front will bring the chance of showers and storms Sunday night into Monday. Ahead of the front on Monday, we could have enough of an unstable environment for a few strong storms with heavy rain. Behind the front, we'll cool into the mid-upper 80s through Wednesday with lower humidity. High pressure returns for the end of the week with highs getting back to about 90 by Thursday and Friday.
