Tracking more rounds of storms in the near-term
TODAY: Wednesday starts wet again, with temperatures generally in the low-to-mid 70s. Showers and storms will remain through the morning, and gradually weaken by the afternoon. Rain starts areawide this morning, and moves south through the day, by early afternoon, most north of I-70 are dry, and rain leaves the area by the evening.
TONIGHT: Dry skies won't last long, as more storms are expected overnight into the early hours of Wednesday. A thunderstorm complex developing in Nebraska this morning will take its course through the day, and arrive after midnight.
EXTENDED: Dying on arrival, storms turn to showers through Thursday morning, and push southeast through the day. Our stationary surface front will turn to a cold front and push south. Highs on Thursday are only in the mid-80s, but drop into the low 80s behind the front on Friday and Saturday. This also comes with a decrease in humidity. Skies are partly cloudy Friday and Saturday, but rain chances build into the forecast again for Sunday as moisture returns from the south yet again. Rain chances linger into Monday, but dry weather is currently forecast for Tuesday. Temperatures are climbing back into the 90s for the middle of next week.
