TODAY: After heavy rain created flooding concerns for folks along and north of I-70, scattered showers and storms will continue Tuesday. Heavy rain will remain a concern for folks north of I-70 through mid-morning. A lull in precipitation will com through mid-day. Some light shower activity is possible through the early afternoon, but by the evening (5-7) more scattered thunderstorms will likely develop. Temperatures will be varied across the area, with highs in the 80s north of I-70, and the possibility of mid 90s south.

TONIGHT: This activity will intensify overnight as our low level jet winds start to ramp up. This will bring more heavy rain potential to mid-Missouri. This round doesn't look to focus the heavy rain in such a tight corridor as happened Tuesday morning, meaning better chances for widespread rainfall and less chance for flooding. Still, you should use caution around creeks and low water crossings, especially given the overnight nature of the event.

EXTENDED: Wednesday brings more chances of scattered thunderstorms and heavy rain. Highs should generally settle in the upper 80, but again may bring some variance area wide. More of the same is expected Thursday, but the stationary boundary that is bringing all of this rain is expected to become less stationary and make progress southward. This will keep us wet and in the mid-80's Thursday, but things dry out Friday and we fall into the low 80s. This weekend, rain chances begin to creep back up, but highs remain in the 80s.
