Tracking warmer air, before a cold front brings us rain chances this weekend

TODAY: Wednesday is shaping up to be another sunny one, with temperatures back above normal. We typically fall in the upper 80s here in late June, but today, we'll climb into the low 90s thanks to abundant sunshine, and more southerly wind both at the surface, and above our heads. Humidity will start to tick up in the coming days, but it remains tolerable today, in the 50s. Don't expect much impact from humidity today.

TONIGHT: Skies stay mostly clear overnight, lending to another bright start on Thursday, where temperatures bottom out in the mid 60s.

EXTENDED: Thursday is sunny and warmer yet, with highs in the low 90s, but dewpoints still in the tolerable range. It's not until Friday that we feel humidity back in the air. Dewpoints in the 70s will make mid 90s feel like triple digits to end the work week. This won't last long as a cold front is expected Friday evening. Timing is uncertain in regards to a more exact time frame, but between late afternoon, and the evening hours, a cold front will push in from the north, bringing a chance for storms, and some cooler weather. This front will move pretty slowly, allowing rain to stick around overnight into Saturday. This keeps Saturday cool, in the 80s, with the best chance for rain all week. By Sunday, the stalled front is expected to lift back north, allowing for extended rain chances through the rest of the weekend. Rain is still a possibility for the Fourth of July, with plenty of moisture in the region on Monday. At this point, rain chances are slim, and take more of an isolated shape, rather than the scattered, widespread rain that we expect Friday night and Sunday. We're warming back into the 90s by Monday.
