Tracking rain through midweek

TODAY: Dry weather hangs on a bit longer as Monday is shaping up partly cloudy and cool. Expect temperatures to climb from the low to mid 40s, into the mid to upper 60s.

TONIGHT: With added clouds, temperatures don't fall so far. Most will wake up cloudy and in the 50s Tuesday morning. Showers will move in west of highway 63 overnight into early Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: Throughout the day, showers and storms will overspread mid-Missouri. It won't rain all day, and plenty of dry time will be had in the morning, especially east of 63. By Tuesday evening, rain and thunderstorms will become widespread, bringing our most appreciable rainfall. Some may see as much as an inch of rain by the end of the night. Wednesday, some activity will remain on radar through the morning, with a generally drier day after mid morning. Thursday, some wrap around moisture will linger to keep us cloudy with a chance for showers. No severe weather is anticipated with this system. Friday is our next dry day as high pressure slides in. On the west side of the high is our big warm up as it slides to our east. Timing of the high will play a big role in our temperatures, and will be the difference bewteen 60s/70s and 70s/80s. Either way, warm weather sticks with us through the weekend, and so does the mostly dry weather.
