Tracking a gorgeous end to the weekend

TODAY: Clouds exit with highs near 70. Expect another breezy afternoon with wind gusts near 30 mph.

TOMORROW: Storms return late morning, with a severe threat by the evening. Temperatures hover in the 60s.

EXTENDED: Monday will already see the next severe threat as a low pressure system forms over Oklahoma and moves east during the day. Showers arrive in Mid-MO by late morning tomorrow as a warm front moves in from the south, and this will provide increasingly unstable conditions ahead of the following cold front. We will likely see the biggest severe chance from early evening to midnight tomorrow with all impacts possible. The southwestern portions of the area are under a 2/5 risk. Storms begin to clear up early Tuesday but more disturbed conditions are in store late week. Flooding may become an issue this week - central Missouri received multiple inches of rainfall recently and another 1-3" is possible by next weekend. This will lead to muted temperatures all week with below-average highs in the 60s.
