Tracking a beautiful afternoon before showers and storms Thursday
Today: Winds out of the south at 8-12 mph paired with mostly clear skies allow for afternoon highs to top out into the mid-'70s. The pollen index remains highs thanks to increased levels of tree pollen.
Tonight: Temperatures tonight cool to the early '50s as clouds begin to push in from the west leading to mostly cloudy skies overnight.
Extended: Showers and storms begin Thursday around six in the morning becoming more widespread as the morning transpires. Showers will become off and on throughout the day making it a better day to move in outdoor plans inside. Another round of severe storms creeps in Friday night into Saturday morning with the severe risk increasing for Central Missouri. Rain stays in the forecast throughout Saturday with a drier Sunday ahead.
