Tracking some lingering showers and flurries

cool and dreary
KMIZ

FRIDAY

Showers and even a few snowflakes mixing in will stubbornly stay with us this morning. We’ll switch over to all rain after midday but they’ll be off and on until this evening. Temperatures will only reach the low to mid 40’s this afternoon.

TONIGHT

Clouds will take off as winds settle down. Temperatures will fall all the way into the upper 20’s, so bring those plants inside before tonight if they’re sensitive to the cold.

EXTENDED

We’ll thaw out on Saturday with sunshine making a return. Highs tomorrow will reach the 50’s, warming to near 70 by Sunday. We’ll hang on to the 70’s for the first half of next week, but it will come at a cost. Daily chances for showers and storms will roll through Sunday night through Wednesday. Some of these could be on the strong side, so stay with the forecast as we iron out the details. The rain will start to fizzle towards Thursday but the cooler air will make a return to end the week, with highs falling into the 60’s.
