Tracking our next round of thunder

TONIGHT

After sunshine this morning, we look for clouds to move in again this evening from the south. This cloud cover will preempt our next rain chance as a system largely passes to our south tonight and early tomorrow. The heart of this low will miss us, but the northern edge will try to bring a few showers overnight. Tonight's rain chance lies primarily south of I-70.

TOMORROW

These off and on showers will start to exit around daybreak Tuesday. Expect temperatures to start warm, in the upper 40's Tuesday morning. Throughout the late morning and afternoon, our breeze turns more southerly ahead of our next chance for showers and storms. A cold front approaches from the west, but not until highs reach back into the 60's. The front rolls in during the late afternoon and early evening hours, bringing a line of showers and storms through the region.

EXTENDED

Rain will come to an end by late morning on Wednesday with the sunshine returning for the middle of the week as highs reach the low 60’s. Another chance for some showers drops down on Thursday with temperatures coming down as well. Highs will only reach the low 50’s Thursday with a chance we’re stuck in the 40’s on Friday. We’ll get close to the freezing mark Friday night before righting the ship this weekend. Highs will return to the 60’s on Saturday with a chance to push 70 Sunday.
