Tracking showers, cooling temperatures Wednesday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with spotty showers and potentially a few flurries by daybreak. Gusty west winds with lows in the low to mid-30s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and cold with highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s and gusty winds. Spotty showers and flurries possible through early afternoon.

EXTENDED: Most areas saw about an inch of rain with overnight and morning storms, and we could add slightly to those amounts this afternoon and evening with scattered showers possible. Winds will shift back to the west/northwest overnight, bringing temperatures down into the mid-30s. With low pressure spinning to our north Thursday, there's a chance we could see a few flurries early in the day. Clouds stick around and temperatures remain in the lower 40s through the afternoon. As skies clear into Friday, temperatures start out near freezing in the morning, but sunshine returns and gets us into the upper 50s to around 60 during the day. By Friday night, another low pressure slides by to our north, bringing a chance for scattered showers after midnight into Saturday morning. With showers moving east on Saturday afternoon, we warm back up in the upper 50s to around 60. Sunday is slightly warmer with temperatures in the lower 60s. Next week's pattern looks active yet again, with rain and storms returning to the area Monday into Tuesday.
