Tracking a chilly weekend, freeze tonight

Today: Mostly sunny and cool with highs in the low 50s.

Tomorrow: Temperatures below freezing in the morning; highs near 50. Clouds return early as a weak disturbance passes through.

Extended: Next week starts off warmer with a warm front lifting north Monday into Tuesday, bringing us to near 60 on Monday and into the 70s by Tuesday. A strong low pressure system is expected to develop across the Plains and move in our direction by Tuesday night, bringing overnight rain and storms. Rain is likely just about all day on Wednesday, tapering off by early Thursday morning. We'll fall back into the upper 40s in the wake of that system on Thursday, with highs in the upper 50s on Friday. Rain looks to stay to our south for the start of next weekend for now.
