Tracking a sunny Sunday before a rainy week

Tonight: Skies remain mostly clear with winds out of the west at 5-10 mph. Temperatures cool to the low '40s to upper '30s across Central Missouri.

Tomorrow: A steep warm-up is in store thanks to winds returning out of the southwest with an approaching high-pressure system to the west. Skies remain mostly clear with highs into the mid-'70s.

Extended: Monday begins mostly clear before cloud cover pulls in thanks to a deep low-pressure system moving over Oklahoma. Monday late afternoon chances of showers increase in front of this incoming low system. Chances of widespread showers increase with isolated storms Tuesday afternoon with temperatures remaining above the average high of 58 degrees. Showers remain in Central Missouri until Thursday morning where northwesterly flow cools temperatures down into the upper '40s for highs.
