Tracking a nice warmup for the weekend

TONIGHT: Decreasing clouds and cold with lows falling into the mid-upper teens.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and slightly warmer in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

EXTENDED: Most roads have dried up in today's sunshine, but parking lots and sidewalks could be slick overnight. Tomorrow is still chilly, but we warm up into the lower 40s with afternoon sunshine. We start the springlike warming trend on Sunday as temperatures get back into the low 50s. Upper level high pressure builds over us and the jet stream scoots north next week, bringing us back above average for most of the week with highs in the upper 50s to around 60 through Friday. A deep low pressure system is expected to develop by the end of the week, potentially bringing rain by late Friday night or into the weekend with a cool down to follow, likely back closer to normal in the 40s. The outlook for the first half of March looks near average on temperatures (low 50s) with above normal precipitation.
