Tracking a system that brings our next battle with winter

TONIGHT

Cooler and drier air is rushing in from the north this morning. Temperature will generally fall throughout the day today, as a north breeze and overcast skies linger. Expect temperatures in the teens overnight.

WEDNESDAY

We're feeling like single digits early Wednesday with a light north breeze under mostly clear skies. Clouds will return as our next system moves in. With temperatures struggling to climb out of the 20's, we are expecting wintry weather from this. We will likely start with sleet around the early afternoon hours. We expect to see a transition to snow later in the evening before carrying over into the overnight hours.

EXTENDED

There will likely be a lull in the activity very early on Thursday but things will pick back up into the afternoon and evening. This system wraps up leaving 1-3” of snow and sleet with higher amounts locally. We’re quieter heading into the weekend, with highs in the low 30’s Friday warming to near 40 Saturday and Sunday.
