Tracking our next wintry headache
WEDNESDAY
We’re starting out dry and mild but showers will develop this afternoon. Things will start out light before becoming heavier later this evening. Temperatures with a mild start and a steady southerly breeze will still make it into the low 60’s.
TONIGHT
A few rumbles of thunder will be possible as that rain picks up this evening. Temperatures will start to fall around 8-9 PM, reaching the freezing mark closer to midnight. The rain will begin to freeze on some surfaces before mixing in some more sleet my sunrise. Expect roads to become slick early tomorrow morning.
EXTENDED
That wintry mix will continue to fall until the mid-late morning hours when most of us will get cold enough for snow. The snow will continue to fall through the afternoon before tapering off tomorrow night. Once the snow moves out, we’re bracing for the single digits once again Thursday night into Friday morning. We recover nicely after that cool start, pushing highs into the low 40’s Friday afternoon. We reach the mid to upper 40’s Saturday before cracking 60 on Sunday and Monday. Rain chances will return by Tuesday.
