Tracking a slightly cooler afternoon

SHOWERS
KMIZ

THURSDAY

We’re a tad cooler out the door this morning, making it tough to continue our streak of 50’s. We’ll fall just short this afternoon, topping out in the upper 40’s.

TONIGHT

Winds will start to pick up tonight out of the southwest as clouds increase. That tandem will keep temperatures near 40 overnight. A few showers will be possible as early as 8-9 PM and be off and on through daybreak.

EXTENDED

Those showers will stay with us through the morning commute tomorrow, thinning out by the afternoon. Highs will make a run at 50 once again before the cold air invades Friday night. We’ll fall all the way into the teens by Saturday morning, with a breeze out of the north feeling like the single digits. Highs on Saturday will be stuck in the 20’s. We bounce back nicely on Sunday into the low 40’s. That’s where we’ll stay on Monday before making the jump back into the 50’s on Tuesday. Our pattern will be transitioning to a more active one in the background by the middle of next week. Rain chances look like they’ll hold off until Wednesday.
