Tracking some light snow and bitter cold today

MORNING SNOW
KMIZ

THURSDAY: Light snow will move through this morning, primarily south of I-70. As cold as it is, slick spots will develop easily when it’s falling. Up to an inch will be possible for areas around the lake and I-44, with lesser amounts further north. Highs today will be stuck in the teens.

TONIGHT: Temperatures will fall even further under partly cloudy skies tonight. A steady northwest breeze will back off a bit more by daybreak, but the wind chill will be a few degrees below zero.

EXTENDED: Temperatures attempt to recover Friday, but can only manage the middle 20’s. We jump into the 40’s on Saturday as we track our next shot at some rain to start the weekend. Showers will push in by the evening but look to move east before some cold air can catch up to it. Highs on Sunday will back off into the 30’s, where they’ll stay on Monday before we get back to the 40’s for the rest of next week.
