Tracking a few showers along with a big cool down Wednesday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and breezy with lows in the mid-50s.

TOMORROW: Light showers early with winds shifting north during the day. Temperatures fall from the mid-50s in the morning to the upper 40s by late afternoon. Clouds stick around through much of the day.

 EXTENDED: A cold front approaching from the northwest will bring clouds overnight with a few showers early tomorrow morning. Winds quickly shift from the south to the north by mid-morning, allowing temperatures to fall into the upper 40s by late afternoon. Rain amounts will be less than a quarter inch. Once clouds clear on Thursday morning, we'll fall into the upper 20s to low 30s, so patchy frost will be possible if we can get winds to die down a bit. Friday is in the upper 20s to start, but we make it to about 50 by late afternoon. We'll see more cloud cover trying to filter in Friday night into Saturday so lows on Saturday morning won't be as cold. Temperatures rise into the mid-upper 50s on Saturday, so we can expect pleasant game time weather at Mizzou and for holiday decorating. Another disturbance will slide just to our south on Sunday, so rain chances look best south of I-70 if we see any showers. Highs will still make the lower 50s.

Looking ahead into next week, we start off chilly behind this late weekend system on Monday, but we warm back up mid-week and look problem-free through those days for early holiday travel. So much can change this far out, but we're looking a little cooler than normal for Thanksgiving with the potential for rain toward the end of the week.
