Tracking a quiet pattern setting up

staying cool
KMIZ

TUESDAY: A slow-moving high-pressure system is starting to enter the region. That will help push some of the clouds to our south this afternoon. Highs will still be cool for the start of November, only topping out in the upper 40’s today.

TONIGHT: A few clouds will be leftover tonight, keeping frost from becoming a widespread issue. Lows will bottom out near the freezing mark, so you’ll still want to bring in any sensitive plants.

EXTENDED: That high-pressure system will continue eating away at the clouds as it sits overhead on Wednesday. Sunshine will be a staple of the forecast for the rest of the workweek. Highs will stay cool in the low 50’s Wednesday and Thursday. Partly to mostly clear skies also mean cold starts in the mornings. The coldest start looks to be Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with overnight lows in the upper 20's to near 30 expected. On Friday, we’ll start a slow warming trend that will continue through the weekend. We’ll get into the middle 50’s Friday, upper 50’s Saturday, and crack the 60’s by Sunday.
