Tracking a bright and warmer Tuesday before rain returns mid-week

TONIGHT: Clouds gradually decrease and winds die down. Lows in the upper 30s to around 40.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with clouds settling in by evening. Highs in the low to mid-60s.

EXTENDED: Winds are starting to diminish this afternoon, and as clouds exit we'll have one of the cooler nights of the week with lows falling into the upper 30s to around 40. Tomorrow is the brightest and likely warmest day of the week with highs in the low to mid-60s and sunshine through most of the day. Clouds return toward evening with another low pressure system diving in from the west. This will send another cold front our way on Wednesday, with showers and a few thunderstorms expected through Wednesday night. Severe weather is not expected for Mid-Missouri. Showers stick around Thursday into Friday morning as low pressure tries to work across the Ohio Valley. We'll end up with about an additional 1-1.5" of rain between Wednesday and Friday, and temperatures will be cooler than average in the low to mid-50s Thursday and Friday. The weekend looks perfect for Halloween with highs right around 60 and sunshine on both days. I am expecting another potential system early next week, but temperatures look to trend cooler than normal through much of the week as we head into the first week of November.
